EALL, 2 June 2009 The EALL is delighted to announce the first module ‘Better Regulation Tools; Legislative Quality and Policy Appraisal’, which will take place 13-16 October 2009... Interactive, in-depthCourse director Claudio Radaelli (University of Exeter), Anne Meuwese (University of Antwerp), Wim Voermans (University of Leyden, EALL) and other expert staff will host this interactive, in-depth course, sharing their insights in the field.On-line registration for this module opens 11 June 2009. The module at a glanceConsultation; alternatives to traditional regulation; soft law; risk approaches to enforcement; impact assessment. These and other fundamental innovations in regulatory management and lawmaking have spread quickly throughout Europe. As a result, lawmaking and policy appraisal can no longer be seen as distinctly separate activities.This course draws on top-notch regulatory scholarship to develop benchmarks and substantive know-how of regulatory quality. Specifically, the course enables participants to manage the concepts, methods and tools of smart regulation, covering new appraisal instruments as well as the wider strategies for regulatory management. |
