EALL, 9 February 2009 With a first gathering of its Executive Board on 6 February 2009, the European Academy for Law and Legislation (EALL) saw its official foundation... The members of the Executive Board each confirmed their support for the European Academy as a platform providing a (virtual) meeting point for legislative professionals from Europe and beyond and for its development into a centre for post-academic training and consultancy on legislative issues. Activities and audienceExtensive network activities are anticipated in order to raise awareness among stakeholders in the academic world, national administrations and European and international environments about the wide range of activities being developed at the EALL. Administrations, peer organisations and institutes will be approached to build a network of expertise. The Executive Board would like the EALL to target a fairly wide audience. In this respect, the target audience of ’legislative professionals’ is considered to include (but not be limited to) judges, policy makers, counsel, drafters and civil servants with professional involvement in legislative matters. |
