Workshop on Regulatory Impact Assessment for Bahrain
  alt

EALL, 30 March 2010
During a 2-day studyvisit to the Netherlands, a delegation from the Civil Service Bureau of Bahrain, participated in a workshop on Regulatory Impact Assessment at the EALL

The studyvisit of two officials of the Civil Service Bureau of Bahrain to the Netherlands was coordinated by the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Both Mr. Jamal Alawi and Mr. Duaij Albinali were given methodical and practical insight on how to cope with administrative burden as regulatory phenomenon. Mr. Erik Akse, a European Commission expert in the field, provided an EALL-workshop on the topic. In his introductory overview he addressed administrative burden in general, and interactively exchanged with the delegation on issues of their concern.
The development of a regulatory reform policy is ranking highly on the agenda of this Gulf-state. Administrative burden as an integrative part, and in particular sound strategies to reduce 'red tape', will therefore be a prominent subject in the years to come.
EALL is committed to allocate experts and expertise in response to an articulated demand.
